What Is DUPR+ and Is the $19.99 Subscription Worth It for Pickleball Players?

The DUPR+ pickleball subscription went live October 13, 2026 — a paid analytics layer added on top of the free rating system that competitive players have been using for years. If you've been watching your number fluctuate without knowing exactly why, this is designed to answer that. A free trial runs through October 27.

What DUPR+ Adds to Your Free Rating

What DUPR+ Adds to Your Free Rating

The base DUPR rating — that 2.000–8.000 number tied to every match you log — stays free. DUPR+ is a paid tier built on top of it, priced at $19.99 per year, which works out to about $1.67/month.

The product positions itself around a simple premise: your DUPR tells you where you stand. DUPR+ helps you understand how you got there, how to improve, and how you stack up against the players around you.

The Six New Features Inside DUPR+

The Six New Features Inside DUPR+

DUPR+ launches with six features. DUPR Insights tracks your rating trends over time, clutch performance records, and upset victories — wins against players rated meaningfully above you. Performance vs. Skill Level shows your win percentages broken down by opponent rating bracket, which tells you more than a raw win-loss record when you're playing the same rotation of people every week.

Metro Area Rankings places you on a local, state, and national leaderboard. DUPR Replay delivers a monthly AI-generated performance recap. A Verified Checkmark confirms your identity for entry into Verified Events. The sixth feature — AI-Enhanced DUPR Rating — is where the most significant development is happening.

How AI Video Analysis Actually Works

How AI Video Analysis Actually Works

DUPR began incorporating AI-powered video analysis into its rating system in August 2026, two months before the DUPR+ launch. The analysis runs through a growing network of video partners at clubs and tournaments.

The analysis captures patterns that match scores alone can't reveal. A player winning tight games by grinding out errors gets a different profile than one winning at the same rate through clean attacking play. Access depends on whether your club or tournament uses one of the partner platforms — coverage expands as more clubs adopt them.

The $130 in Member Benefits Explained

DUPR+ includes member perks that exceed the subscription cost on paper. The lead item is a $30 JOOLA Gift Card. Add $20 in Club Cash at participating facilities — or a free coaching lesson at clubs where that option is available — and the stated perk bundle totals roughly $130.

The math for gear buyers is simple: if you were going to spend $30 at JOOLA anyway, the gift card alone covers the full $19.99 annual subscription.

Is DUPR+ Worth $19.99? Who Should Subscribe

Is DUPR+ Worth $19.99? Who Should Subscribe

The value depends on how much you use your rating beyond glancing at it. If you play mostly open play and check your DUPR occasionally, the free tier covers your needs. The subscription earns its place for competitive recreational players who want to track improvement over time, understand their game in local context, and eventually layer in AI video analysis as club coverage expands.

Metro rankings specifically appeal to players in active local scenes — any dense pickleball community where knowing where you stand among hundreds of nearby rated players is a real reference point, not just a novelty.

The free trial runs through October 27, 2026. Head to mydupr.com to start it.
